Sasha Uzunov: Freelance Photo-Journalist
Welcome to my online portfolio.
I'm an Australian freelance photo-journalist with over 20 years experience. My specialist areas are: international politics, military affairs, and sport (in particular soccer)
I have also taken photos of world celebrities.
I'm probably the most versatile media man in Australia as I can report, write, photograph and shoot video footage.
I'm available for full time or part time work, or as a stringer.
I've worked in South-eastern Europe (Balkans) in 1992-93 and 2002-2003 and Iraq in 2005 and Afghanistan in 2007 and 2008. Video of that 2007 Afghan trip can be viewed on:

Video from the 2008 Afghan trip can be seen on:

I served in the Australian Army as an infantry soldier, admin clerk, parachutist, driver, reporter and photographer for seven years and did 2 tours of duty in East Timor with the United Nations.
My philosophy is that I will try everything that is humanly possible to get the story.
In May 1992 I graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Journalism from the Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology (Australia). I'm member of the International Federation of Journalists.
